Attention Lexington Two employees, Lex2 will be moving to a new email system Monday afternoon/evening (June 13, 2011). While your email address will not change, you will have a new email password. Your building supervisor (Principal, Asst Principal, etc) will have your new password.
I am Alyson Price and serve as the school's Speech-Language Pathologist for DD, K-4, K-5, and 1st grade. Although I do not directly work with all the students in the school, I enjoy getting to know them all during various school activities.
In my classroom, I work with small groups of students who qualify for speech-language services. These students have met district guidelines as far as placement into the program and work on areas specific to their needs. We work on things such as articulation, language, fluency, and voice.
To qualify for services, a student must be screened and evaluated, both of which require parent permission. They must meet district criteria for placement based on evaluation results and parents must agree to placement in the program.
Parents are welcome to contact me if they have concerns about their child's speech and/or language skills. Together we can work out the best plan of action for the child.
